ToughandMighty BonVoyage of Nemera
What's in a name?
Quest was the first Bengal queen we chose for our cattery. A quest is a long and arduous search for something important. Her registered name "Bon Voyage" means "good journey." This beautiful girl is the treasure at the end of our quest for the perfect breeding queen to start us off on this "good journey" into breeding Bengal cats!
Quest is a stunning cat who is a very important part of our history here at Nemera Bengals. Although Shawnee gave us our first litter, Quest was the first cat that we ever had the privilege of choosing for our breeding program. Her name reflects this. “Bon Voyage” is the French saying for “have a good journey.” This beautiful, dainty girl was the treasure at the end of a long journey (or quest) to find the perfect breeding female to begin our “good journey” into breeding Bengal cats! She is the foundation of Nemera Bengals and the mother to our first ever keeper girl, Nemera Bon Que Dior aka Citrine (see her on our queens page). I cannot be more thankful for Tara at Tough and Mighty Bengals for trusting me with Quest and for her patience in teaching me all about breeding and showing.
Not only is Quest a sweet, gentle Bengal cat, but she is a phenomenal example of the Bengal Cat breed. She has an amazingly soft pelt covered in perfect medium sized, two-toned rosettes with wonderful contrast and black expression. Her tail is short in comparison to her long body and has a really neat zig-zag pattern that we call “lightening tail.” Quest’s ears are quite small and well set on her head. Her whisker pad and chin are bright white, giving her a very while looking face. Her leg stripes are broken up and she has spotted paws.
Quest has now been retired and is enjoying life as an only child with her new owner.
